Bartolo (John) Lauricella "After a partnership with his brother Bartolo Tesoriero, Antonino Tesoriero and his son Luigi became the sole owners of the fruit shop on Glebe Pt. Road in 1938. Father and son worked and lived on the premises until late 1939, when Antonino’s wife Maria Grazia, and remaining children, arrived from Italy, on one of the last ships to come out to Australia before the War. Thelma O'Mara After migrating from Calabria with his wife Caterina in 1925, Sam Galluzzo bought the shop space in Glebe in 1934, converting it from a confectionary shop. The family lived at the back of the shop. Sam and Caterina worked in the shop, as did their son Frank and later, Frank’s wife and children. After a market visit every morning, the shop opened from 7am in the morning until after the nearby pictures had finished at 11pm.
