Mrs Nan "Pietro Comito remembers his experiences as proprietor of Peter’s Fruit Shop, Blacktown, from 1960-1998: I opened my first fruit shop in 1960 at 45 Main St, Blacktown. I had no idea about fruit as I was a tailor for Anthony Squire in Sydney. I have many memories of Peter’s Fruit Shop in Blacktown. I would arrive back from the Sydney Markets, back then, at Haymarket, at about 5am. My staff and I would have a big morning tea and later on a big lunch together. I had a wonderful staff. |
