The shop at Oxford Street, Paddington,  was the forth of five fruit shops owned by this Picone family.  Gaetano Picone came to Sydney from Lipari, in the Aeolian Islands, in April of 1922. His wife Concetta, followed him to Australia in 1924. The first fruit shop he owned was in Bondi Road, Bondi, in the early 1920's.  Two daughters, Annunciata (Nancy) and Giusepina (Josie), were born during this time. This shop was sold in the late 1920's and they moved to the second fruit shop in Oxford Street, Bondi Junction.  Angelena (Lena)&nb
