Employing several employees from Italian migrant community under sponsorship scheme until they were established to venture out on their own & perhaps establish own fruit businesses. John Howard wrote to the family on the death of Sam Galletta acknowledging the assistance provided to the italian community. The shop had one of the 1st & largest cool rooms of its time. |
