The Galletta Bros. Sam, Tom and John worked extremely hard 7 days a week always for the benefit of their families. They instilled in their children a good work ethic which remains today. Giovanni, (John) my dad, had my brother Tom, at 11 years work every school holidays and every Saturday in the shop. My Uncle Tom's son, Tom, did the same. The girls in the family had to pull their weight as well. I vivdly recall working in the shop as a 13 year old during the holidays leading up to Christmas. Every Saturday lunch time, my cousin Joan also 13, and I would take it in turn to cook lunch for our fathers' and all their workers. We had to give the cook, Joe Biviano, a break on Saturdays. We did this for many years. The opportunities we were given as children taught and inspired us to reach for the stars as adults. Mary DiMarco
